제목: On the string solutions for the Abelian Higgs model on curved space

초록:In this talk, we consider the Abelian Higgs model on a spacetime manifold.

We give physical background briefly and derive a certain elliptic system on a two dimensional manifold with the metric.

Then, we  review recent progress on the study of this system for either S is noncompact or S is compact.
